"A completely different style of food," Edgewood Tahoe's chief operating officer Corinna Osborne told the Tahoe Daily Tribune in 2025, describing what would come next at the resort's clubhouse. "It's going to be an ultra luxury dining experience that Tahoe has never seen."
That quote was about a closure that hadn't happened yet. The closure she meant has since come and gone, and the space she was describing still hasn't opened. If you live near Stateline and assumed the Edgewood remodel wrapped up when The Edge Restaurant & Lounge opened in July 2025, you're thinking of the wrong phase. There's another one already under construction, and it won't be finished until sometime after this fall ends.
That's useful to know before planning dinner down at the lake: the clubhouse work is happening in phases, and another phase is underway now.
What's Actually Open Right Now
As of this September, three restaurants are running inside the Edgewood Tahoe property, and each occupies a different slot in the day:
- The Bistro, inside the Lodge, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. This is the one that works for breakfast, a midday coffee, or a low-key dinner with a lake view.
- Brooks' Bar & Deck, on the golf course side of the Clubhouse, open 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. It's the gastropub option, built around the first and tenth tee boxes, and it's the one locals tend to treat as the casual default.
- The Edge Restaurant & Lounge, also in the Clubhouse, open for dinner only, 5 to 9 p.m. daily. This is the fine-dining slot, jacket preferred, reservations recommended.
That lineup is newer than it looks. Brooks' sat closed for about a year and a half after shutting down in October 2023, part of what Edgewood's development team has openly called a seven-year redevelopment plan for the property. When it reopened, it came back timed to be ready for summer and the American Century Championship, the celebrity golf tournament the resort hosts every July. The Edge is newer still. It replaced the longtime Edgewood Restaurant and opened to the public on July 1, 2025, built around a seasonal, locally sourced menu from Chef Jon and Chef de Cuisine Cody Ginther. It closed briefly again July 9 through 13 that same year so the tournament could take over the space, then reopened.
Two of the three restaurants you can walk into today, in other words, are barely a year into their current form. Neither is the version Osborne was describing in that quote.
The Clubhouse Timeline
Here's how the clubhouse has actually moved, phase by phase, based on what Edgewood and local reporting have confirmed:
| When | What Happened |
|---|---|
| October 2023 | Brooks' Bar & Deck closes for redesign |
| Mid-2025 | Brooks' reopens with a redesigned pro shop and clubhouse interior, timed for the American Century Championship |
| July 1, 2025 | Edgewood Restaurant reopens as The Edge Restaurant & Lounge |
| September 2025 | Edgewood begins an "Event Venue Expansion," disrupting valet at the Clubhouse building |
| March 2026 | Edgewood announces the Stillwater Grand Ballroom, Lakeshore Room, and Stillwater Deck, expanding the Clubhouse from 31,753 to 44,463 square feet |
| Late 2026 | New event spaces are set to debut |
| March 2027 | Private events begin in the new spaces |
The timeline shows that restaurant updates were followed by the event-venue expansion. The dining rooms open this month are part of the property's ongoing phased work.
What to Know About Clubhouse Valet Changes
If you've driven up to the Clubhouse recently and noticed the drop-off looks different than it did last visit, that's not your imagination. Edgewood's own site currently posts a notice about an "Event Venue Expansion Underway" running from September 2025 through January 2027, and it specifically flags "additional activity and changes to the valet parking at the adjacent Clubhouse building" during that window.
Read against the March 2026 announcement, that notice makes more sense than it might on its own. The expansion isn't cosmetic. It's building the Stillwater Grand Ballroom, a 5,600-square-foot room that replaces what used to be called The South Room and takes reception capacity from 90 guests to more than 350. It's also adding the Lakeshore Room, a new 40-person lakefront private dining space, and the Stillwater Deck, a 2,100-square-foot heated outdoor area meant for year-round use. The expansion adds these spaces to an active building, and Edgewood's notice says valet changes are expected through January 2027.
Practically, that means if you're headed to Brooks' or The Edge this fall, give yourself a few extra minutes at the valet stand and don't assume the pull-up spot from your last visit is still where it was.
The Work Is Happening in Phases
Edgewood has held a Forbes 4-Star rating since 2019 and picked up a MICHELIN One Key distinction in both 2024 and 2025. The work has moved in stages: Brooks' first, then The Edge, and now the ballroom and event spaces, while the rest of the property stayed open around each phase.
Osborne described a future dining experience as "ultra luxury" in her earlier comment. Separately, the event spaces announced in March 2026 are named the Stillwater Grand Ballroom, Lakeshore Room, and Stillwater Deck.
What This Means If You're Headed Over This Fall
None of this should keep you from making a reservation. It just changes what to expect. The Bistro remains the least complicated option if you want something dependable at any hour, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Brooks' is the move if you want golf-course views with a more casual menu, open 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Edge is the one to book ahead for, dinner only, jacket preferred, and it's worth calling or reserving online rather than walking in, since Edgewood notes reservations aren't required but are highly recommended.
One more detail worth knowing before you go: Edgewood is a cashless property, so plan to pay by card or mobile payment, and each table gets a single check rather than split billing at the point of sale.
Beyond that, just expect the property to keep changing shape through the rest of this year and into next. The next real milestone is the debut of the Stillwater Grand Ballroom, Lakeshore Room, and Stillwater Deck, expected late in 2026, with private events booking in starting March 2027.
Keeping track of what's actually open, what's under construction, and what's coming next around Stateline is part of how we stay useful to the people who already live here, not just the people thinking about a move.
